22inches of Viewsonic widescreen lcd, very shiny even off a vga cable. I figured that a new screen was the next thing I needed since its been my biggest erk about using a laptop. Hopefully now my images will have much better colour balance and contrast (I may be readjusting some images in my gallery). More in tech news you may notice my avatar now blinks, this is due to a magical image format called APNG. I say may because APNG is not an official standard and only the Firefox3 browser family support it. So all you IE and Opera users out there get firefox and enjoy the rhythmic blinking.

Other news my little sister ~Sarenale goes in for surgery tomorrow so lets hope that all goes well.

:nana:! my 19" SyncMaster 920n looks JUST AS GOOD with that VGA cable you're using. If you used HDMI or DVI connection to connect it then you'd get the full benefits ;)

And yeah, once you go to 22" monitors, you can't look back really. I've had my Samsung 22" widescreen for a while now, and I absolutely love how everything runs.

Multitasking = win on 22" Monitors! :#1:

Lol I wouldn't say quite as good, the only problem I really have is a very slight banding occurring when my speakers are up full bore. :D Plus you can't beat viewsonic

Haha, you and me both...ended up spending a wad of cash on a new Quad-core computer a little while after buying the monitor, since games didn't like running at 1680x1050. :lol:

But either way, enjoy the screen real estate equivalent of a mansion! :D
